NEXT CLASS: Saturday, Feb.26 from 11:30a to 1p

This Group class is an opportunity to meet other harmonica players and gain encouragement, inspiration and new perspectives. Most everything will be done as an ensemble. Even while one person is soloing the others will be practicing background parts. The idea is that you will be playing the entire hour and a half. We will be working on:

-Running scales together-Rhythmic patterns for chord comping-Repertoire (as a three part harmonica ensemble)-Call and response and trading solos-Keying songs and ear training

The class will be held once a month at my Greenpoint studio. The cost is $25 and you must reserve your spot by the Thursday before the lesson. There are only 5 spots available on a first come first serve basis. I must have at least 3 people committed for the class to take place otherwise it will be cancelled. Once you have reserved you spot your are committed to pay even if you decide not to come. If all the spots fill up I will add a second group.

A strong grasp of single notes and bends is required. You must have all your natural keyed diatonic harmonicas. Chromatic harmonicas welcome too.
